bTV is the first private national TV in Bulgaria. It is 100% owned by News Corporation – a world-known company in the field of TV, film distribution, press, etc. The State Telecommunication Commission officially announced that News Corporations won the call for the first private national TV and awarded its license on April 6, 2000. The first memorable day of broadcast for bTV is June 1, 2000.
